Doylist answer is "because the [Skins] menu didn't exist yet", the only Watson answer I can think of at this time is "it's not an intended modification". The dongles still being in the [Decorations] menu after the [Skins] menu was added would imply that they're not intended to be default.

Searched about it, and it seems to be related to hardware issues.
Can also be related to having a 2nd monitor plugged in. Unplugging it can fix the issue if you have one plugged in.
Could be a broken file in the folder, so you can try delete and replace them with a new one. Or maybe you missing a file, so try whitelist the location and extract a new file, because it could be that some files are blocked by anti-virus by a false positive scan.
Can also be your GPU is not updated or broken, so updating it or reinstall the GPU driver can solve that issue.

Are you trying to download it for the Itch.io App?
The game isn't validated for the app, so you gonna have to download it and play it without the app.
Just so you know, the folder is compressed when downloaded, so you gonna need to install a extracting tool like 7zip or WinRAR.

Each update you can just delete the folder and replace it with the updated one. The saves does not seem to be saved on the main folder, so its no problem in replacing the folder with the updated one.

they are working on version 0.2.0. So far they have 0.1.7 out for free and the rest of the versions you gotta be patreon.

They don't seem to do too much. They post new versions like 4 months at a time. The Christmas version came out months after december and then part 2 about 3 monthsd later

Why are these updates so slow? You guys used to update this game on patreon every 20 days or so. Now it's one update per 3 months...

I could be wrong but it may be related to the new character model of the Night Guard. That and the skins they need to design for the game.
Plus the Night 2 of the story mode that all is coming to version 2.0 for Patreon.
Regardless, its likely just something related to the team working on the game being late or having a problem with personal stuff. Seen that alot of times as a reason to the delays and so on.

When you extract the files, make sure that your anti-virus software isn't blocking the folder by a false positive scan. Whitelist the folder or the location you extracting it to should prevent files in it from being removed by the scan.

Best known solution is to lower your graphic and resolution in the settings. Maybe also try play it in windowed.
If you still cant play it, it might be related to your hardware being old.

Try install 7zip from 7-zip.org
It should help with extracting the folder.
Just make sure your anti-virus software isnt blocking the extracted folder. So if you have problems with the files, then try whitelist the extracted folder location so it does not get blocked by your anti-virus by a false positive scan.
This happens on some anti-virus softwares, because they having trouble seeing if its from a validated developer.

You need to buy the Christmas decorations and enable them.
Buy the candy as well, since it's needed for the stockings in the kitchen. Edit: you also need to buy the mistletoe for the scenes to work. Place the mistletoe on the ceiling in front of the fireplace, then you can place the candy.

Part of the reason for that is because the models the animations were made for were swapped out with different ones.
That cutscene only candy cane you never get to wield was originally the flamethrower.

Arcade mode doesn't work when I launch "go to work" and it's starts to crash. Also, when playing XXXMAS event when I try to pick up ammo, it doesn't change, anyone help or solutions :/ (almost forgot) I tried testing out other versions, 0.1.5 and 0.1.6 does work on the arcade also 0.1.7 does work, but when trying to back it crashes. So dk what to do, but at least some help or solution's better :/
